Our Loyalty Discount Program

How it works

We have a loyalty discount program to reduce fees for members who continue to contribute and stay with the fund.
You’ll automatically be enrolled in the program as soon as your balance reaches $1,000.
If you receive a contribution to your super account every 12 months, you will be eligible for the loyalty fee rebate. Examples of eligible contributions include employer contributions, rollovers, government co-contributions and personal contributions.
You will continue to move up loyalty levels every 12 months, but will only receive the loyalty fee rebate if you receive a contribution to your account in that period. The discount is calculated off your percentage-based administration fee and is paid as a refund at month end after the 12 months anniversary date.
Even better;
  • 1
    If your balance falls below $1,000 for any reason in the future, you’ll still keep your loyalty level by staying with the fund.
  • 2
    If your balance is $1,000 or more, and you don’t contribute for a period – you’ll still continue to progress towards the next loyalty level just by staying with the fund.
See your progress on your member dashboard.

Example: How it worked for James

James joined Engineering Super on and completed a rollover of $1,500 into his super account on 1 June 2024. This means he was enrolled in the loyalty fee discount program with a Bronze loyalty level and an anniversary date of 1 June 2024.
In July 2025, his super account will be checked to see if he received a contribution in his account between 1 June 2024 to 1 June 2025. Because he is working and receiving employer contributions, he will receive the Bronze fee discount and will move up to Bronze Plus on 1 June 2025.

Example: How it worked for Jess

Jess has been a member of Engineering Super since December 2023. She was enrolled into the loyalty fee program at the Bronze level when her balance reached over $1,000 on 31 December 2023.
Jess decided she will take time off to travel full time in 2024. On her anniversary date on 31 December 2024, she will move up to Bronze Plus just by staying a member of Engineering Super. However, as she has not received a contribution to her super account between 31 December 2023 – 31 December 2024, she will not receive the fee rebate.
However, if she makes a contribution by 31 December 2024, she will receive the Bronze Plus fee discount after the end of the 12 month anniversary date.
